Le Bargy was created in 1953 by Mr. and Mrs. Métral who decided to name it after a
mountain that was situated close by.. Initially, it was a bar where people could dance as
well as relax.
Some important dates :
-
1957 saw the creation of a 2-star hotel with 13 rooms, offering family-style cooking
prepared by Alice Métral.
-
1974 The Métrals daughter, Monique, and her husband, Georges Buzelin took
over the establishment.
-
1979 The bar was enlarged and converted into a bar-restaurant, offering traditional
cuisine.
-
1990 Additional building work produced an enlarged hotel offering 3-star facilities,
but retaining a 2-star classification in a conscious effort to satisfy the real
requirements of the clientele. There was also a new restaurant : " Le cercle des
songes ", with the classification "2-star-tourisme".
 |
Today, a third generation of Métrals, Frédéric et Stéphane, are working to further develop quality within the establishment.. |
May we take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our site, we hope that you will
